Originally from Tehran – Iran, lost my way and found it again in California. And again in New York City.
I’ve worked on Music videos with renowned artists like Mohsen Namjoo and the rock band Hypernova.
Early in 2012 , I started making my debut feature film “Happenings of the Eighth Day”.
I wrote/directed/produced/shot/edited the film. I also acted in it [it was quite fun, actually] Upon finishing the film, I moved to New York City where I currently live and work as a filmmaker/editor/writer.
My background is in photography. I’ve worked on short films and music videos. Notably with Mohsen Namjoo [dubbed Bob Dylan of Iran by NY Times] and underground rock band Hypernova.
“Happenings of the Eighth Day” is my debut feature film that premiered in the “New Visions” category at the 24th Cinequest Film Festival.
There’s also another feature film I’ve produced/edited that is called “The Silent”
I am currently working on two new projects: A documentary short film, and my new feature film…you will hear about them soon!
Recently, I was featured on Vanity Fair Magazine [April 2014] with artists such as Shirin Neshat, Mohsen Namjoo, and Nima Behnoud
